I am a runner, scientist, and coach. I didn't run until after college, and I have no particular talent for the sport. This means that I had to improve through a love of running, consistency, and endless study. An engineer and scientist by training, I love studies and numbers, but even more valuable than that is a philosophy focused on sifting through the mess of data to find what really matters.
And while not an elite runner myself, highlights of my running career include: a 3rd place at 2018 Mt. Hood 50 mile, a win at the 2019 Deception Pass Trail Marathon, a 3rd place at the 2016 Austin Rattler 66k, a sub-24 hr finish at the 2016 Leadville 100, and multiple Boston qualifying marathons.
